About the Exhibition
Let Sophia Stef Gallery be a part of your holiday gift giving this year. Give something original, support an artist, or find a little something for yourself (Shhhhh… we won't tell).
Consider this a gift.
For our final exhibition of 2026, Sophia Stef Gallery invites artists to work on a smaller scale. From miniature paintings and drawings to textiles, ceramics, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, this exhibition celebrates original artwork in all its smaller forms.
Lambertville is especially memorable during the holiday season, and we want visitors to leave with a little something from this little town. Whether it's a gift for someone else or a piece to keep for yourself, Consider This a Gift is an opportunity to discover original artwork, support artists, and take something home that will last beyond the season.
Purchasing art is a gift to all!
All styles, subjects, and experience levels are welcome.
BEFORE YOU SUBMIT
SIZE: 15 INCHES MAXIMUM
No side may exceed 15 inches, including framing.
PRICE: $500 MAXIMUM
All submitted works must be priced at $500 or less.
SUBMISSIONS: UP TO 5 WORKS
$50 flat submission fee for up to 5 original works.
COMMISSION: 70% ARTIST / 30% GALLERY
Artists receive 70% of the sale price.
PRESENTATION:
All 2D works must be finished and ready to hang with appropriate hardware, preferably a wire on the verso. All 3D works must be suitable for safe display.
Accepted Mediums
Original paintings, drawings, photography, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media are welcome.
All 2D artwork must be suitable for wall display. All 3D works must be stable and appropriate for gallery presentation.
Holiday Special: Artist Cards!
Accepted artists will also have the optional opportunity to offer artist-designed holiday cards for purchase throughout the exhibition.

Please note: The People's Store building closes and locks its doors promptly at 6:00 PM.
Fee & Commission
Submission Fee: $50 flat fee for up to 5 original works.
Artist Commission: 70% of all artwork sales.
Gallery Commission: 30% of all artwork sales.

Artwork will not be considered unless payment is received and all required submission materials have been completed.
Artwork Drop-Off Instructions
Only accepted works listed in the acceptance email may be delivered.
All accepted work must be delivered during the designated drop-off periods.
Alternative drop-off arrangements must be approved in advance.
Artists are required to sign an Artist Agreement upon delivery.
Late or uncoordinated drop-offs may not be accepted.
All work must arrive finished and ready for display.
Holiday Sales & Artwork Removal
Purchased artwork may be taken home immediately.
Unlike traditional exhibitions where sold artwork remains on display until the closing date, Consider This a Gift allows buyers to purchase artwork and take it directly off the wall during the exhibition.
Please note: Artists should be aware that their work may be removed from the exhibition at any point following a sale. Sold artwork will not be held until the exhibition closes.
Opening Reception

Join us for the opening of Consider This a Gift, featuring original small-scale artwork, drinks, light bites, and good conversation. All are welcome!
Artwork Pick-Up
Saturday, January 9, 2027 | 12:00–5:00 PM
Artists may collect any unsold artwork only during the designated pick-up period unless otherwise agreed upon.
Artwork remaining in the gallery's possession after January 16 will incur a storage fee of $10 per day.
Any artwork not collected within three months (April 16, 2027) will become property of Sophia Stef Gallery, subject to the signed Artist Agreement and applicable law.
Additional Opportunity
Participating artists will have the optional opportunity to gallery sit during the exhibition. This is a chance to engage with visitors, meet fellow artists, and spend time in the gallery.

Artists may submit up to 5 original works for a flat $50 submission fee.
To keep the jurying process organized, submissions sent via email cannot be accepted unless explicitly approved by the gallery.
Incomplete submissions or submissions without payment will not be considered.
